Saturday, January 14th
Monthly meeting with Dr. William Gengler, DVM, DAVDC. Dr. Bill Gengler is a board-certified veterinary dentistTM, and received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and his Master of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Missouri - Columbia. He is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College and has 26 years of experience in general small animal practice, and 20+ years of experience in dental specialty practice.
Dr. Gengler founded the Animal Hospital of Verona in Verona, WI in 1978 which grew into a four-doctor, AAHA-certified hospital. After leaving general practice, he held a dual appointment as Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs/Director of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, and as the Section Head of Dentistry and Oral Surgery in the Department of Surgical Sciences.
Dr. Gengler is a Past President of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC), the 2003 recipient of the Wisconsin VMA Veterinarian of the Year award, the 2006 recipient of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Outstanding Alumnus award, the 2009 recipient of the Hill's Excellence in Dental Research and Education award, and the 2015 University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine Alumnus of the Year award. Dr. Gengler has written many publications throughout his many years in veterinary dentistry. He has made enormous contributions to the current high standard of care given by today’s veterinary dental specialists, along with the general practitioners who have trained under him.
Dr. Gengler has a son, three daughters, and nine grandchildren. He shares his home with his constant companion, Lolly, an incredibly sweet little rescue dog. Note: Bill is a Robson Ranch resident!

Monthly meeting with guest speaker, Maureen Bennett, IDEA Service Dogs. Maureen Bennett (a Robson Neighbor) is a founder and Board member of the IDEA Service Dogs. IDEA Service Dogs has assisted persons with disabilities realize their dream of having a service dog since 2010. They believe that many people with disabilities can achieve improved quality of life through the addition of a service dog, which they own, raise and train with their professional dog trainers.

Open House at the Clubhouse for all Robson Ranch clubs. Happy Tails Dog Club will have a table at this event.

Regular monthly meeting cancelled due to Guest Speaker illness.
Saturday, May 13th
Monthly meeting with guest speaker Prundi Koeninger, President of DFW Wildlife Coalition. Prudi will be speaking about all the wildlife we have in Robson Ranch and will provide great insight into how to live with these creatures! The mission of the DFW Wildlife Coalition is to reduce the incidence of orphaned and euthanized native wildlife in the DFW metroplex through public outreach and education.
Saturday, June 10th
Monthly meeting with Karen Ehler (Karen's Elite Dog Training) and Kim Gaffey (Gaffey Dog Training). Karen and Kim will present topics that include mental stimulation for dogs, best practices at the dog park and identifying stress signals in dogs.
Saturday, June 24th
First ever - Patriotic Pet Pictures! This will be another fundraiser for the club and the perfect opportunity to show your pride in your pet with Old Glory in the background. Event will be held in the CATC building from 9am - 3pm. Reservations are available HERE - so sign up NOW!!
Saturday, July 8th
Monthly meeting with Robson Resident Eileen Pierson, an advocate for Apollo Support & Rescue in Justin. Founded in 2012, Apollo Support & Rescue has been working to save thousands of animals that have found themselves alone and in distress. Abused, neglected, abandoned, or orphaned, their efforts to give these animals another chance goes unchallenged. They also proudly support our local community through vaccination clinics and education.

Monthly meeting with Guest speaker Joyce Anderson from Patriot PAWS with Puppy Raiser, Paula Sterling. Patriot PAWS specializes in providing Service Dogs of the highest quality to military Veterans.
Saturday, September 9th
Monthly meeting with Bette Sherman, Chairman and Co-Founder of the Denton Animal Support Foundation (DASF). Happy Tails Dog Club held a PET FOOD DRIVE the entire month of April working with the Denton Animal Support Foundation (DASF) and our Pet food drive benefited the Pet Food Pantry at the Linda McNatt/City of Denton Animal Shelter, Our Daily Bread, SPAN Meals on Wheel Senior Paws and the Denton Veterans Association.
We will be holding another small food drive, so please bring all your donations to the meeting. All dog food, cat food, puppy food and kitten food donations are welcome, including open containers! Let's surprise Bette and show her how generous our club members are!
Saturday, October 14th
Monthly meeting with guest speaker Kit Perry, dog Trainer and Behavior Consultant. Kit graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2004 from Northwestern State University. From 2004 - 2012, she trained animals in zoos, including elephants, mountain lions, tigers, monkeys, birds and goats. Her favorite zoo training program she created was with giraffes. Kit put her focus on training dogs in 2012 when she stated Creature Coach, LLC in Central California. IN the summer of 2021, Kit moved her company to the Denton, Texas area to pursue a Master's Degree in Behavior Analysis with a focus in animal behavior at UNT.
Saturday, October 28th
We will be holding our2023 Winter Holiday Mini Photo Sessions earlier this year to give folks plenty of time to get those Holiday cards ordered. Happy Tails Dog Club is sponsoring Winter Holiday private photo mini sessions for your dog!
The photo shoot event is on Saturday, October 28th, from 9:30a - 2:30p in the CATC building (room #103).

Regular monthly meeting with a member Bark & Brag event. This is an opportunity for members to get together and show off pictures of their dogs and brag about how wonderful they are!
