The first meeting of 2022 was a delicious success!
Board Member, VP of Membership. Rebecca Laschinger presented a very informative power point presentation on how to make home-made dog food. In addition, she provided the names of several healthy canned dogs foods and supplements to mix with the homemade dog food to ensure your dogs are receiving premium nutrition in every bite. Board Member, President, Lorraine Wilson discussed the various methods to make chicken jerky for your dogs, along with explaining several varieties of dog treats she had made prior to the meeting and brought. Lorraine then gave a demonstration of making homemade pumpkin peanut butter treats using an electronic Dash dog biscuit maker. Member Kim Grasser brought in a basket full of homemade pup cakes & the recipe to share and member Karen McGraw brought in the ingredients and the recipe for DIY Dog Paw Balm! There were treat bags and plenty of treats so all attendees were able to take some of the dog biscuits, dog chicken jerky or pup cakes home for their furry friends! We also had a raffle with prizes of a dog recipe book, an airtight treat canister and a set of a silicon molds of dog paws and dog bones - winners were Kathleen Dial, Karen Keith and Nancy Kilkenny - congratulations Ladies!!
A great time was had by all!
